I’ve been working with computers and websites for many years now and while things have gotten much easier, there is still a lot to wrap your head around. These are some of the services I offer my clients:

Computer Repair

As mentioned on in my bio, I worked as a Geek Squad® agent at Best Buy for 4 years and I am aware of the competition that’s around for computer services, etc.

When it comes to getting your computer repaired, you may have only a few options.

1. Call the kid down the street – I used to be that kid, so I won’t knock him (or her), but I will say that his/her first priority may not be your computer.
2. Buy a new machine – Yes, computers are cheaper than ever, but do you really want to spend more money with a high probability that the problem will come back? I not only fix problems, but I explain them to help you understand what went wrong and how to prevent it again.
3. Call a service such as Geek Squad® – This might have even been your number 1 choice and I don’t blame you. They can fix your problem no doubt, but for how much? Virus removal: $299. Hardware install: $149. Data backup: $199. (in-store only) Basic Training: $149/hr. I can do the same services for half this amount.

The best part is if you have other issues, you call me back. You don’t call a corporate number and get a random technician who you have to explain your problem to all over again. I also work with Mac OSX. Try getting a “Mac guy” to your house and you may have to wait a couple more days.

Website Design/Management

Webdesign is no laughing matter. It’s an expensive service and it can cost you thousands of dollars. While it’s true, you may end up with the top of the line, flashy design, how do you make changes and add updates? Call your designer back and pay them more money.

What I do is build CMS sites. Content Management Systems allow you to have a complete structured backend and frontend for your website which enables you to change your website on the fly without having to re-design every page.

Article Writing

If you currently have a website, but you’re finding it harder to keep it updated or you’re in need of some new ideas for content, allow me to help you! I can hand-write, 100% original content for your website in just a few days.

Here are some key points to look for in other article-writing companies:

• Hand-written – Don’t get duped into buying bulk articles that have been written by auto-generators (aka auto-bloggers). These tools will scour the Internet and copy content from all over the place. More advanced ones can even re-organize the wording to make it appear original.
• 100% Original – Along with the above, note that some companies may write an original article for your site, but then keep it for other sites that ask for the same topic(s). The can cause your site to appear as a copy of others. When I write an article, it’s yours and only yours. Forever.
• Price – Because this is a service, pricing can range greatly. Be weary of companies that aren’t charging very much or too much. They might be participating in the practices mentioned above. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is–and you always get what you pay for.
